Tania Ahmed ☆ Gel Printing ☆ Mixed Media ☆ Art Journals
⚠️Trypophobia Trigger Warning⚠️ I bought ⚠️Trypophobia Trigger Warning⚠️

I bought some dried lotus seed pods to try gel printing with (obviously) and a friend mentioned that it is a major trigger for those who have trypophobia 🙈

Does this print make you feel uneasy or itchy? Apologies in advance 😅

It did result in a very cool but alien looking gel print, what do you guys think? Yay or burn it with fire? 😂🔥

Currently in my era of embracing each season as it Currently in my era of embracing each season as it comes.

In my 40s I have noticed a huge shift in the way I see myself and what I count as a win.

Gone are the days when I felt that I had to earn rest by burning myself out through expectations that I had piled on my own shoulders.

I constantly compared myself to my peers, wondering why I felt so out of place and behind.

I felt a cognitive dissonance between what I wanted out of life: wanting to do more, be more, be better, make more things, but also needing to be more present for myself and my family.

Life, especially online is such a highlight reel, we only see the tip of the iceberg, the happy moments. So I have learnt to have grace for myself and focus on my own lane.

I am not who I was 6 months ago, and I feel that I am emerging from a fog ... of expectations on myself, perceived expectations of others and feeling the need to fit in with the crowd.

I am finally choosing peace, with myself and my perfection-itis which holds me back is fading, slowly but surely.

I am writing more in my journals, making ugly and much needed art journal pages, looking after my mental and physical health, self care, gel printing with wild abandon and being more intentional with how i spend my time.

I know what is meant for me will not pass me by and I am supremely grateful for all that I have and who I am because I wouldn't be where I am right now without the old me.

Hello lovely person, my name is Tania and I am on a mission to become more me.

GIVEAWAY CLOSED! WINNER HAS BEEN CONTACTED 💕 b GIVEAWAY CLOSED! WINNER HAS BEEN CONTACTED 💕

been holding on to some big news for monthsssss!

I'm one of the guest teachers for Your Printmaking Journey, a brand new online event from Gelli Arts and honestly, I'm a teeny bit giddy about it.

And to celebrate, I'm giving away ONE FREE SEAT. 💛

Here's how:

Leave a comment below telling me your favourite gel printing texture and make sure that you follow my account 😊

The giveaway is open until August 22nd.

And there's another bonus chance to win:

Comment Journey26 to get the link to enter another giveaway on the Gelli Arts classroom site!

So what is Your Printmaking Journey?

From 18th October to 28th November, 13 guest teachers will take you on a creative journey through gel printing. Thirteen classes, everything from the gentlest foundations (with me) to more layered, adventurous projects. And every single class ends with a finished piece you actually get to keep, use, or gift, not just a pile of practice prints.

So whether you're brand new and your gel plate is still in its packaging, or you've been printing a while and you're craving fresh inspiration, or you simply want a beautiful excuse to make more time for yourself and your creativity... this might be exactly the thing.

Registration is open now. You can grab the Super Early Bird price of $149 instead of $199, so that's $50 off if you move early until August 22nd.

I would so love to have you join me on this one. Come and make something that feels like you. 🌈💜

Comment below to enter, and let's begin.

I've had so many lovely new people follow me, so I I've had so many lovely new people follow me, so I thought I'd pop by and say hello helloooo and briefly reintroduce myself.

I'm 43 and I was born and raised in Pakistan and now proudly British living in England.

In this decade, I am rediscovering who I am, with radical self love and worrying less about what other people think. I firmly believe that the best is yet to come 😊

I love bold clashing colours and patterns: a big nod to my culture and heritage. Plus I must have been a magpie in a previous life due to my love for shiny things.

I love tea, video games, loud music, cooking, reading, writing and gardening.

Other than making art journals and mountains of gel prints, i also love macrame, embroidery and jewelry making.

I am a proud Mama to my 4.5 year old daughter Alina who will be starting full time school this September (cry with me 😭). It feels like yesterday when I announced her arrival on here!

I have been creative all my life and making gel prints and art journals for almost 13 years. I am passionate about teaching because I know exactly what it's like to be an overwhelmed beginner.

My teaching style is warm, chatty, filled with humour but practice to demystify the processes of mixed media and gel printing.

I am a proud Gelli Arts Brand Ambassador and I have had the honour of teaching at multiple summits, shows, and for some very amazing companies over the years. It humbles and fills me with gratitude that I get to do this as my job. 💜

My reminder for you today is that practice make progress (not perfection) 💕

And my wish for you is that you make time to do something today that give you joy. Even if it takes 5 minutes ✨️

I adore you all, welcome to my world!
