May 7, 2020

Hi Friends!

Welcome to the Craft a Flower Lily Die release blog hop! For full details please visit the Altenew blog here, where you can find out more about the blog hop! There are prizes to be won as well.

Altenew’s Craft-A-Flower die sets are released monthly and celebrate the beauty of a wide variety of flowers! Each set includes all the pieces you need to create a multi-layered floral arrangement, inspired by their popular 3D flower dies. All you need to add is colored cardstock and a die cutting machine.

Craft-A-Flower Monthly Subscription Plan:

This is a monthly subscription plan for our Craft-A-Flower die set. When signed up, you are guaranteed a spot in the monthly Craft-A-Flower releases and will receive a set each month – at a specially discounted price! ($35.99 →$29.99) Click here to find out more.

I made two projects using this beautiful die that I could not resist having a play with!

For my first project I made a simple Notebook Cover using various papers that that were coloured with Altenew’s Watercolor Brush Markers and Metallic Shimmer Mists!
I love seeing the variegated effect that you get with using cardstock that I coloured myself! I think it makes the finished flowers look more interesting. I finished off the cover using the word “love” from the Script Word Die Set cut in gold cardstock.
Here is a closer look at the hand colored details and you can see the shimmer in the leaves from the sprays!
For my second project I made a 12 x 12 layout that I plan on putting into a frame.

I’ve made a very easy video on how I assembled the layout as well, I had a lot of fun putting it together:

Click on the video above to watch it here or watch it on my Youtube channel here.
I did a lot of die cutting for this project which I actually find very therapeutic to do as it was a repetitive task. I love being able to zen out while I am doing this as it becomes almost meditative.
The flowers and leaves were very easy to assemble and put together as they line up, and there is also a layering guide that you can use for reference in the packaging!

I hope that you liked the projects that I made for you today and that you visit the rest of the blogs to check out all the inspiration from the team.

Your next stop on the hop is the very amazing Jaycee Gaspar!

Great projects you have here. I like the idea of coloring the card stock to create the layers since I either don’t have the right color or I don’t have a colored card stock. The lay out is also great. Yes, it looks like a tedious process but the end result is totally worth it.

Lovely, imaginative arrangement of the beautiful lilies!

  • Sheila Bacon

    May 9, 2020 at 03:26

Both cards are fantastic. The leaves and stem in the first card look like there is a textured spray/paint on the leaves, etc. which adds that extra touch. The lily really pops on the dark background. The arrangement of the lilies in a circle on the 2nd card is a different look. Kudos for designing two eye-catching cards, and thank you for the video which is always great to reference at my convenience!

Thanks for your publication. One other thing is that often individual states in the United states of america have their particular laws that affect homeowners, which makes it extremely tough for the Congress to come up with a different set of recommendations concerning property foreclosures on householders. The problem is that a state features own laws and regulations which may have impact in an unfavorable manner in regards to foreclosure procedures.
