Altenew April 2020 New Release Blog Hop!

Thank you for taking part in the blog hop celebrating Altenew’s April release!
I had great fun with this new release especially with the Precious Blooms mask, which has opened up a whole new world of technique possibilities for me 🙂
Also in this release we have a Crafter’s Essential Stamping Mat which I have not stopped using since I got it a few weeks ago!
Here are the projects that I made for this release:
I kept this card bold and simple to let Altenew’s Antique Gold embossing powder shine against the dark navy blue cardstock using the Mixed Sprinkles Stencil. I topped it with a Mega Thanks Diecut which I heat embossed as well! I finished the card off with a heat embossed sentiment from Sentiment Strips 2 Stamp which I think will become a staple in my projects!
For this card, I kept the focus on the blended background made with the Patchwork Kite Stencil using dye inks from the Green Meadows Cube Ink set. I stamped the sentiment and leaves from the Precious Blooms set and used the Precious Blooms mask to add a touch of subtle shading to the leaves! I finished off the card by adding some sequins from the Antique Gold Sequin Set and some dots from a gold gel pen!
I’ve been having a lot of fun experimenting with Altenew’s Embossing Paste and one of my favourite ways to use is it is to colour it with re-inkers and different mediums! I used a jet black re-inker to alter the paste into a gray colour which I used wit the Patchwork Kite Stencil! To create a single flower from the Precious Blooms set I used the matching Mask for the set to ust stamp one flower. I stamped the rest of the flower parts and leaves from the set and die-cut the leaves and fussy cut the flower. After arranging the flowers and leaves on the card panel with foam adhesive I added stamped sentiment from the Sentiment Strips 2 Set and added sequins from the Satin White Sequins pack!
