Altenew Cozy Creatures Stamps/Dies/Stencils Collection Release Blog Hop + Giveaway
Hi Everyone!
Welcome to the blog hop celebrating Altenew’s latest release of stamps, dies and stencils. I can’t believe that it is October already!
For more information and to see all the details on how you can win some prizes, visit the Altenew Card Blog.
You have arrived here from Emily Midgett‘s blog and your next stop is Amanda Baldwin!
Here is an overview of the release:

There is also a new Smaller Ink Blending Tool which is a part of this release! They are about 1″ wide and are lovely to hold. I have a blogpost coming up on the Altenew Mixed Media blog doing an overview of these brushes and ways to use them!
For my project I made a card:

I used Altenew’s Hello Hydrangea Stamp Set with the matching Die Set. I used the Watercolor Brush Markers Tropical Fiesta to colour it in and added some highlights with a white gel pen. The flower was heat embossed with Antique Gold Embossing Powder mixed with Antique Silver Embossing Powder, I am not sure if you can tell that it looks a little variegated and gives lovely texture too!

Here is a closer look at the embossing and colouring. I used a colouring pencil to add in a little bit of rough shading here and there to give it more dimension. You can see the two colours of embossing powder a little bit better in this photo, it looks quite pretty in real life. I love mixing up my embossing powders for different effects, is that something you guys have tried? Let me know in the comments below!
Thank you so much for stopping by!

Love how vibrant, rich, and gorgeous your hydrangeas are. Goodness knows if I saw those in a nursery I would be grabbing them up to pop in the garden!

Beautiful colors! How fun to make an Autumn colored hydrangea. I don’t believe I have mixed my powders like that. Did you mix the 2 together 1st or did you add one first, then the 2nd? I like the look but it’s really hard to tell in the photo- guess I’ll have to try it LOL!

I loved the gorgeous coloring of the hydrangea. I have never combined different embossing powders before, but I am going to try it soon. I like how those two embossing powders show up on the hydrangea. I also thought the background was great. Thanks for sharing your ideas and expertise!!
