Altenew August 2020 Stamps/Dies/Stencils/Wax Seals Release Blog Hop + Giveaway

August 11, 2020

Hi Friends!

Welcome to to the blog hop celebrating Altenew’s latest release! You’ve probably arrived here from Therese Calvird’s blog and your next hop stop will be Norine Borys.

The Full blog hop is listed on the Altenew Blog as well as at the end of my post.

The new release is called Summer Nights and consists of new Stamps, Dies, Stencils and Wax Seals! You can check out the full release here.

If you leave a comment below, you can get a chance to win some fun prizes!

I am very excited about the wax seals release, and I look forward to experimenting with them in the near future:

I made four projects with this release:

For this card and tag set, I used the Amaryllis Stamp Die Set with leaves from the Beauty Within Stamp and Die Set. For the tag is used Geometric Landscape Stencil in the background with Embossing Paste and Ocean Mist Shimmer Spray! I used Frosty Pink Mixed Media pigment ink on one of the layers of the Amaryllis Flower Stamp, and heat embossed that with clear ink for additional interest.

For the card, I used Red Cosmos Mixed Media Ink to create the background of the card using the ink smooshing method! I kept the stamping for the flower on this card fairly simple and added some black splatters to the background.

For this set, I used the same techniques for the backgrounds and used the Beauty Within Stamp Set. I can definitely see myself using this stamp set a lot, I love it’s simple clean lines which are perfect for adding that elegant touch to your craft projects. For the tag, I did some clean colouring with my polychromos colour pencils.

Thank you so much for joining in and I hope you liked my projects!

Prizes:

To celebrate this release, Altenew is giving away a $50 gift certificate to 6 lucky winners! Please leave a comment on the Altenew Card Blog by 8/17/2020 for a chance to win.

They will also draw a winner to receive a $20 gift certificate from the comments left on each designer’s blog on the blog hop list below.

All winners will be announced on the Altenew Winners Page on 08/20/2020.

I never think to do one layer of a flower in a sparkle paste or embossing powder, but I really like how that turned out. I also forget about the power of a bold black and white on a colored background. You really have the touch for clean and simple mixed media looks.

I believe what you posted made a lot of sense. But, think about this, suppose you were
to write a awesome headline? I am not suggesting your information is not solid.,
but what if you added a post title that makes people want more?
I mean Altenew August 2020 Stamps/Dies/Stencils/Wax Seals Release Blog
Hop + Giveaway – Tania Ahmed Creative is a little plain. You should
look at Yahoo’s home page and note how they create post headlines to get people
to click. You might add a related video or a pic or two to grab people
excited about what you’ve got to say. In my opinion, it could bring your blog a little bit
    more interesting.
